Computer Integrated Medical Intervention (CIMI) research group of Nanyang
Technological University cordially invites
you to its first research open house on 2 October 1999. The event is
to be held in conjunction with the TechMonth of NSTB (National Science and
Technology Board). Some of our research findings will be disseminated
through seminars and exhibition of prototypes of hard and software. We are
pleased that the second deputy president of NTU, Prof. Lim Mong King, will
be our guest of honor. |

New Laboratory In about half a year's time we will have a
new laboratory for our research group. Occupying some 145 sq m, the new
lab is located at N3-B4a-01/02. It will be named as "Computer
Integrated Medical Intervention Laboratory" (an annex to RRC and
BMERC), or CIMIL in short. An exciting thing about the new lab is that a
mini operating theatre (X-ray and laser proof), measuring 5.9m x 4m, will
be built. There will be about 33 to 35 cubicles or working tops. A
renovation fund of S$100K has just been approved. Renovation work will
follow as soon as the Estate Office reverts to us. |
